On June 9th 1999 Geogsoc from Swansea University held their annual Beach Party, which is held on Caswell Bay in Swansea. They hired a Live Performance Rig with extras including two generators for power. The turntables and mixer were supplied by the D.J.'s who brought their own for the night. With over two thousand people on the beach enjoying the entertainment with two live bands and noted local D.J.'s dancing the night into the small hours of the morning. The Live Performance Rig was able to provide quality sound right upto the water line which at times was half a mile away.
